Livestrong Ride4Yellow Event

Registration for the 2011 Ride 4 Yellow is open and filling up.  The 2011 ride will be on August 7th, one part of a weekend of cycling fun in Steamboat that will begin on Friday August 5th with the innaugural Ride 4 Yellow Ball at Marabou Ranch.

Routt County Riders was proud to be the organizing body for a community-wide effort to host the innaugural Steamboat Ride 4 Yellow event on August 8th, 2010, which raised over $300,000 for the Livestrong Foundation and Local Cancer treatment through the Yampa Valley Community Foundation.

The first annual Ride 4 Yellow mountain bike event was held at the Steamboat Ski Mountain. The Divide Ride was an epic 26-mile ride on pristine singletrack across the Continental Divide. 

Seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong rode in this event with Leadville Super-Master Dave Wiens. Lance's Mother, Linda Armstrong Kelly, was the Keynote Speaker. She outlined her fight to educate the world about her personal experiences and knowledge concerning the fight and challenge to find a cure for cancer.
