8:30 -9:00 Welcome and overview: Grant Fenton, Steamboat Springs Bike Town
USA Initiative and Tim Blumenthal, Bikes Belong
9:00-9:30 Ryan Schutz, Rocky Mountain Regional Director of International
Mountain Bicyling Association (IMBA), an organization that
promotes mountain bicycling opportunities that are environmentally and
socially responsible.
9:30-10:00 Tim Young, Executive Director of Friends of Pathways in Jackson,
Wyoming, dedicated to promoting a complete pathways system, safer
streets and great trails for Jackson Hole.
10:00-10:30 Break and time to explore the EXPO (cycling-related businesses,
organizations, products, events, projects & ideas)
10:30-11:00 Dan Grunig, Executive Director of Bicycle Colorado, the organization
dedicated to building a bicycle-friendly Colorado.
11:00-11:30 Chris Hagelin, Senior Transportation Planner with GO Boulder/City of
Boulder, an organization working to create an innovative and balanced
transportation system that sustains the quality of life valued by Boulder
residents, employees and visitors.
11:30- 12:00 Sarah Uhl of New Belgium Brewery, one of only four businesses
nationwide to have earned the Platinum rating as a Bicycle Friendly
Business from the League of American Cyclists.
12:00 – 1:00 LUNCH & EXPO
1:00 – 1:30 Grant Lamont, current Whistler City, BC, Canada councillor, bike
race promoter, co-owner of Whistler Bike Guide, and former resident of
Steamboat Springs.
1:30 – 2:00 Tom, “Pro” Prochazka, Gravity Logic, Inc., innovators in bike park
design and development.
2:00 – 2:30 Jim Schneider, Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp., provides an
update on the Master Plan for cycling at the Steamboat Ski Area
2:30 – 3:00 Closing (includes video presentation of cycling assets, challenges and
vision)
3:00 – 4:00 EXPO, beer, drawing for cruiser bike at 4:00 – must be there to win
