Routt County Riders Bicycle Club is the "Bicycle Advisory Committee" for a new initiative sponsored by the Steamboat Springs City Council. The aim is to make changes and implement an infrastructure that recognizes the needs of cyclists within the community. In this way as the City continues to grow the environment for cyclists can actually improve. Our hope is to see Steamboat Springs officially designated as a Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Cyclists. This will have a positive impact on all levels of planning and development in Steamboat. In future bicycle friendly guidelines will be applied to road resurfacing projects, bicycle lane development, and all public transportation issues. We hope the recognizable changes that will be seen in the near future will include:
